Styling London Ink with our resident stylist, Kelly Larkin

We chatted to our resident stylist Kelly Larkin about styling your quilt cover for autumn/winter. Kelly shares how she would choose to style one of our most popular designs for the season, London Ink.

London Ink is one of my favourite choices this season because of its versatility. You can really pair it with anything you like, as the main colours of the design are very simple grey and blue undertones,” Kelly says.

This versatility doesn’t just allow you to style the bed how you want to, it also allows you to play with accessories, furniture and artwork to really showcase your own style. “Navy, gold and green are great colours to play with here. We love using plants in minimal pots, prints and an ottoman or armchair in our styling to bring a room to life.”

When it comes to styling, Kelly suggests that less is more given the pattern is quite bold already. “By adding small objects in the room, you can really tie it together without it becoming too much. We love adding a square, upholstered bedhead, complementary cushions and a matching floor rug to really tie the colours of the room together. You can even add an upholstered stool to the room for an extra touch of luxe.”

If you’re after heavier fabrics like velvet or wool, this quilt cover is a great one to choose, but make sure you limit it to one colour theme. “As the cover is gender neutral, you can play with the textures that you choose here – pick a thick, grey throw, or a navy crushed velvet curtain to really draw your guests in,” says Kelly.
